My Greatest Work
Here is all of my work that I'm the most proud of from the past. This includes work from Creative Writing and past English classes as far as 6th grade in 2010. These are just some of my favorite things that I have finished...key word finished; I have a lot of ideas and some personal things I'm working on writing, so I might add more to the list.
This is a poem I did in creative writing, which is inspired by the movie '10 Things I Hate About You' and the poem Kat shares at the end of the movie. Out of all my poems this one is my favorite by far, because its so simple but I feel like I did a good job painting the picture.
My How To guide titled 'How to Know if You are a Book Freak' that I did for the narratives unit of creative writing as my non traditional narrative. I actually really liked putting a lot of personal stories in there while still keeping it non traditional. This is a short--but kind of long-- story for the fiction unit of creative writing. I'm pretty proud of this just because the fact that I finished it and followed the plot outline I originally made. This is something that I would definitely go back and work on again to edit/revise or even extend it. Another poem from creative writing, I like it because its kind of what I imagined what poems were supposed to be like before I took the class. I put a lot of work into it and ironically I am sharing it again, letting whoever reads it know when my birthday is. A story I wrote in 6th grade, that I'm still pretty proud of to be honest. It was required that it was about some kind of endangered species in the world and that it had all the science vocabulary words in it. Although there was a pretty solid outline to follow, I feel like my 12 year old self was very creative at the time. This was a short story I wrote for a Flash Fiction writing contest. I didn't think it was very good at the time when I submitted it, but apparently someone liked it and it got published online. I was one of the runner ups that weren't published in the actual paper. Being a runner up surprised me and boosted my writing confidence a little. |
